Patient Case 01 | HAIRO Hair Transplant Robot Exceeds Expectations in Performing "M-shaped" Forehead Hairline Restoration Surgery

The robot automates extraction: The HAIRO system uses AI-based path planning to achieve automatic extraction at an efficiency of approximately 1,800 Fu/h. Throughout the process, a physician remains on hand to oversee everything, adjusting extraction parameters as needed based on the specific clinical scenario, while also communicating with the patient about their experience during the procedure.

Patient Profile

Patient: Mr. Chen | Gender: Male | Age: 35 | Occupation: Sales
Improvement Area: Forehead Angle | Graft Unit Count: 1,780 Fu | Follow-up Date: August 2025

Preoperative examination revealed: the scalp texture is relatively soft, and the hair is fine and delicate. Additionally, 65% of the follicles in the occipital region are vellus hairs. The procedure utilized a uniquely developed extraction needle, allowing for the collection of a total of 1,780 individual follicular units.

HAIRO Implementation Details

The robot automates extraction: The HAIRO system uses AI-based path planning to achieve automatic extraction at an efficiency of approximately 1,800 Fu/h. Throughout the process, a physician remains on hand to oversee everything, adjusting extraction parameters as needed based on the specific clinical scenario, while also communicating with the patient about their experience during the procedure.

Multi-embryo follicle extraction technology: Utilizing HAIRO's proprietary single-embryo skipping technique, this method prioritizes the selection of multi-embryo follicles, resulting in a separation ratio of approximately 1:1.6 between single and double embryos. Under the same extraction volume, this approach allows for the acquisition of roughly 30% more usable follicles.

Hair follicle precision control: The HAIRO system employs a radius-uniform distribution algorithm to evenly space extraction points across the 18×8 cm donor area, ensuring a more uniform and aesthetically pleasing result while preventing any visually awkward outcomes in the donor region.

Surgical Trauma Management: Utilizing Pangce's exclusively developed extraction needle, combined with a patented tension device, allows wounds to rapidly retract within a short period, thereby reducing healing time.

Postoperative Recovery Monitoring

Short-term outcome: The dressing was removed on the second day post-surgery. There was no significant oozing of blood from the occipital region, and the skin over the implant area appeared slightly reddened, with no noticeable swelling.

Latest follow-up: Over 95% of the frontal hair grafts have survived, and the patient has fully recovered with excellent visual results—there are no noticeable signs of the hair transplant procedure.

Patient Reviews

“As someone who used to work at a hair transplant clinic, I have very high standards for hair transplant technology—let’s just say I lean toward perfectionism. What surprised me most about the HAIRO hair transplant robot is that the density of the extracted grafts looks incredibly natural, and the follicles also maintain an impressively high survival rate.”

“Moreover, the surgical incision was indeed tiny—now, when I touch the back of my head, there’s hardly any trace left, so I can confidently style it into a slicked-back look.” When asked about his satisfaction, Mr. Chen gave it a 9.2 out of 10.
