The First Session Kicks Off | HAIRO Hair Transplant Surgery Robot Hands-On Training Course Successfully Held at Peking University Shougang Hospital in Beijing!

From May 24 to 25, 2025, the first session of the "Advanced Training Workshop on Hair Loss Prevention, Treatment, and Hair Transplantation Techniques," organized by the Training Department of the Chinese Association of Plastic and Cosmetic Surgery and co-organized by Peking University Shougang Hospital, the Institute of Plastic Surgery, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, and Peking University Third Hospital, was successfully held at Peking University Shougang Hospital. During the workshop, the HAIRO hair transplant surgical robot, in collaboration with Professor Jiping Wang’s team from Peking University Shougang Hospital, conducted the inaugural hands-on training course specifically designed for practicing physicians. According to publicly available information, this marked the first large-scale hands-on training program in China focused on hair transplant surgical robots, effectively addressing the current shortage of specialized medical professionals proficient in this cutting-edge technology. This initiative is poised to significantly boost the advancement of hair medicine and inject new momentum into the industry.

May 24–25, 2025, hosted by Organized by the Training Department of the Chinese Association of Plastic and Cosmetic Surgery, with co-organizers including Peking University Shougang Hospital, the Institute of Plastic Surgery, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, and Peking University Third Hospital, and supported by the Shanghai Songjiang Pangce Artificial Intelligence Precision Robotics Innovation Center. The first session of the "Advanced Workshop on Hair Loss Prevention, Treatment, and Hair Transplantation Techniques," hosted in 2025, was successfully held at Peking University Shougang Hospital. During the workshop, HAIRO hair transplant surgical robot, together with Professor Ji-Ping Wang's team from Peking University Shougang Hospital, organized the inaugural hands-on training course specifically designed for professional physicians. Publicly available information indicates that this is China's first large-scale hands-on training course for hair transplant surgery robots. , effectively filling the talent gap in China's specialized medical team for hair transplant surgery robots, and injecting stronger momentum into the development of the hair medicine field.

It is worth noting that, to meet the participants' needs for technical training and opportunities for knowledge exchange and improvement, this training session has carefully designed scientific and practical surgical demonstrations as well as hands-on practice sessions. Professor Wang Jiping's team, along with Professor Li Hanlin from Beijing Chaoyang Hospital, demonstrated the practical use of equipment such as hair microscopy systems, hair transplant robots, follicular extraction machines, microneedles, and low-level laser devices.

The debut of specialized robotic training for hair transplant surgery ushers in a new paradigm for follicular unit transplantation education.

A highly anticipated and key segment of this training workshop was Pongce Medical has awarded Peking University Shougang Hospital the title of "HAIRO Hair Transplant Surgery Robot Northern Clinical Training Center." This initiative marks the official integration of China's domestically developed hair transplant surgical robot into the talent-training system of authoritative medical institutions. Moving forward, the base will leverage Peking University Shougang Hospital's extensive clinical resources to comprehensively carry out robotic operation training, case studies, and technology upgrades—establishing a comprehensive platform in northern China that seamlessly integrates "theory, hands-on practice, and research." This will significantly accelerate the wider adoption and application of "AI-powered precision hair transplantation" technology across the region.

HAIRO Hair Transplant Surgery Robot Northern Clinical Training Base Inauguration Ceremony

On May 25, the domestically developed first hair transplantation surgical robot, HAIRO, made its debut in a full-process surgical demonstration livestreamed for professional physicians, showcased during a joint presentation by Professor Wang Jiping's team and experts from Pangce Medical Technology. Notably, this marks the first time HAIRO has been demonstrated publicly since its official launch in March of this year. The 7th Publicly Live-Streamed Demonstration Surgery , showcasing its robust product capabilities, Using real, intelligent, precise, and visually demonstrable surgical outcomes, we help the medical team successfully complete procedures—and create surgical robot equipment that is both clinically effective and beloved by surgeons.

Professor Wang Jiping's team collaborated with the Pangce team to conduct a live broadcast of hair transplant surgery performed by their robotic system.

This demonstration not only fully highlights the significant technological breakthroughs achieved by domestically produced medical equipment, but also empowers participants to swiftly grasp the core principles and operational logic of robot-assisted surgery through a comprehensive training model that combines "theoretical instruction with hands-on practice." As Professor Wang Jiping pointed out , the HAIRO robot is not just a tool—it’s also a revolutionary approach to clinical diagnosis and treatment. It doesn’t only shorten the learning and training period for doctors, It further elevates surgery from a "physical task" to a "mental challenge," enabling doctors to focus more of their energy on treatment planning and patient management. Additionally, its surgical precision, follicular extraction efficiency, and survival rate all exceed the industry average, providing critical support for enhancing physician productivity and driving high-quality development in the field.

The normalized training system has been launched, continuously empowering the advancement of hair medicine.

The trainees observed the robot-assisted follicle extraction and sorting process, and under the guidance of experts, they completed a simulated training session on robot-assisted follicle extraction. "This training was incredibly practical, especially the robotics operation module, which gave us a hands-on opportunity to experience cutting-edge hair transplantation techniques," said one participant. "The precision and stability of the HAIRO robot left a deep impression on me—it will significantly transform the way we work in the future." The participants unanimously expressed that they had greatly benefited from the training.

According to Dr. Fang Fan from Peking University Shougang Hospital Introducing: This hands-on training workshop on China's hair transplant robot marks the beginning of educational and training initiatives for robotic hair transplantation in the field of hair restoration. He stated that Pongce Medical will subsequently focus on Peking University Shougang Hospital as its clinical teaching base, regularly conducting activities such as robotic surgery training, case discussion seminars, and multi-center research projects—to cultivate more hair doctors equipped with the skills to operate hair transplant surgical robots. This long-term strategy will continue to enhance the intelligent surgical capabilities of hair doctors in our country, enabling more patients suffering from hair loss to benefit from "efficient, safe, and smart" hair transplantation services—thus genuinely driving the overall growth and advancement of the hair medicine industry.
